The NORA Outreach Working Group is excited to be launching a series of downloadable fun activities for kids to coincide with the launch of the UN Decade on Restoration #GenerationRestoration. Visit the Outreach Resources page to download informative colouring pages and wordsearches on several native oyster habitat restoration topics.
The colouring activities are aimed at primary school ages children, and the wordsearches at primary to middle school aged children. The shell colouring activity takes its inspiration from Cuan Beo’s hands-on outreach activities in schools where children are offered the opportunity to paint oyster shells. The Outreach Working Group has so far met seven times, and is always a fantastic opportunity to learn from one another and discuss ideas for further outreach activities.
These fun activities for kids were developed in a #GenerationRestoration special NORA Outreach meeting earlier this month. If you have any further ideas for activities or themes, or outreach materials developed with your own projects which you would like to share more widely, please get in touch.
