I do currently work in a research project that characterize the microbiome in an oyster hatchery. The idea is to develop a quick screen for pathogens. I have my background in marine ecology and conservation genetics. At the moment I do lots of different studies where I use eDNA metabarcoding for biodiversity studies. A new research project will start this summer focusing on biodiversity in and around low trophic aquaculture, including oysters.
