Billion Oyster Project to share experiences with NORA

Pete Malinowski, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Billion Oyster Project will be speaking with the NORA Outreach Working Group at 3pm CET / 2pm GMT on Tuesday 16th February. The Billion Oyster project is considered to be pioneering and inspiring in in its outreach and the educational opportunities it creates through its programme and partnership with the New York Harbor School. The Billion Oyster Project has engaged with 10,000 volunteers, more than 6,000 students, 100 New York City school and 75 restaurant partners. The scale of this outreach effort and the educational opportunities this project has built in is hugely inspirational to many, and we are grateful to Pete for offering to share his experience of founding this organization from the ground up- with many collaborations of course!

Please join us and be inspired and consider how European projects too might be able to learn from this shared experience. On that note, Pete will also discuss with us how BOP have adapted outreach activities under Covid to engage with New Yorkers both online and in person. This meeting is not to be missed!

Please contact Corina Peter corina.peter@awi.de or the Secretariat if you would like to receive the call-in details. To find out more about BOP visit www.billionoysterproject.org
